Now this is where things become a little tricky......if you want histories of any red or green buses from recent times you can go onto the web and be flooded with resources. However for yellow buses, well its a different story. That said I have managed to get a bit of background information to put together a rather hazy history of B359LOY. However if you can help fill in some of the gaps then please contact me.
Anyway enough of the excuses here is what I have so far................
B359LOY Leyland National 2 07782 NL116TL11/3R B33T
09/84 New to British Airways, Heathrow as BU396
??/95 Purchased by Ensignbus for its Capital Citybus operation and converted to B49F It later entered service as fleetnumber 749 at Dagenham depot
09/97: Loaned to Northumberland Park depot and used on LBL route 97A
??/01: Renumbered into the First Capital fleet system as LS749 although it never wore the number.
03/02 Withdrawn by First Capital as the final Leyland National to work on a TFL route which hadn't been converted to East Lancs Greenway
03/02 Bought by Skylark PSV
??/02 Loaned to Imperial of Rainham
08/02: Noted in use by Imperial of Rainham as LN749 on the Undergrounds Jubilee line.
??/06 Returned to Skylark PSV
06/06: Purchased by Tom Corcoran from Skylark PSV for preservation.
As you can see the history is a little vague but my sincere thanks go to Keith Nason, Trevor Wright, John Delaney, Leon Daniels and Ensignbus for the information on this page.
